BBright is the Cervelo bottom bracket standard, found on most of their frames, save the P5. In order to fit 24/22mm-spindle SRAM and Quarq cranks into this oversized shell, this bottom bracket, complete with CeramicSpeed Bearings, needs to be pressed in. The BBright bottom bracket comes with either CeramicSpeed Standard or Coated Bearings installed. Super smooth, super-round CeramicSpeed Balls contained in hardened-steel races are found on both versions. The Coated version has a metallic coating laid onto the races, making it even smoother and harder, resulting in lower drag and longer life. BBright is similar to BB30, but is wider on the non-drive side. As such, the bottom bracket for running 24/22mm-spindle SRAM and Quarq cranks, is unique. The CeramicSpeed Standard Bearings last at least three times longer than other bearings. Thanks goes to hardened-steel races and CeramicSpeed Balls that are 100% smoother and 15% harder than the ceramic competition. These have a frictional drag of 0.3-0.4 watts per set, which represents an average 75% drag reduction compared to most BBs. The CeramicSpeed Coated Bearings reduce drag by 50% compared to CeramicSpeed Standard Bearings and an improvement in bearing life of 60%. BSA is another way of stating English threading; it comes from British Standard Cycle. English threading on road bikes mean a 68mm wide, 34mm inside diameter shell with reverse threading on the drive side. It’s the most common threaded standard employed today. This kit works with 24mm diameter thru-axle cranks, found on Shimano, FSA, Rotor, among others. Choose between two bearings for the cups. Standard Bearings have low drag thanks to hardened-steel races and our Ceramic balls. Coated Bearings have those same balls installed on coated, hardened-steel races for longer life and less bearing drag.

Trek developed their own bb standard to optimize their frame designs. BB90 has a 90.5mm shell width and 37mm inner diameter and is designed so that the bearings of external cups can hide within the frame.. PF30 road bottom bracket shells are 68mm wide like BB30, but have a greater diameter, 46mm, so that bearings in cups can fit inside the shell. This kit contains all the parts you need to install a Quarq or SRAM 24/22mm spindle crank in a BB30 road or cyclocross bike. The bundle comes with two cups and CeramicSpeed bearings installed. There are two choices. Standard and Coated. The both possess super smooth CeramicSpeed balls fitted in hardened-steel races. The Coated have an additional feature: a 3-micron thick metallic layer over the races. This addition makes the races smoother and harder, lowering drag and increasing life.
